Celebrating Earth Day on Saturday, October 11, at the Houston Museum of Natural Science
Several GCSSEPM members, including Tony D'Agostino, Mike and Suchit Styzen, Nancy Engelhardt-Moore and Bob Moore, Rusty Hinote and Josh Miller, plus nonmember and guest biologist Adrienne D'Agostino, volunteered their time and enthusiasm. We had a great turnout, with lots of interest from adults and children alike.
Microscopes were set up so the public could see and appreciate microfossils. We also put on a deep-time presentation illustrating the vast amounts of time between the beginning of the solar system, creation of the earth, and the development of life on earth. The presentation was simple enough for all ages to understand.
